Getting the size right is not a detail — it is everything. A ring that fits beautifully is forgotten on the finger. One that doesn't is all you think about. We have written this guide so that you never have to think about it.
The most accurate ring size is determined by a jeweler using a mandrel and ring gauge — and we offer complimentary professional sizing at all three Exclusive Tanzanite ateliers. If you are purchasing a surprise gift, we have a discreet guide for estimating another person's size below.
String Method
Wrap a thin strip of paper or string around the finger at the knuckle. Mark where it overlaps, measure the length in millimetres, then consult the conversion table.
Existing Ring Method
If you have a ring that fits the correct finger, measure the internal diameter in millimetres and use our conversion table to find your size.
In-Atelier
Visit any Exclusive Tanzanite atelier for a complimentary professional sizing. We recommend measuring at different times of day — fingers swell slightly in heat and after exercise.

Measure around the widest part of your hand just below the knuckle with a soft tape measure. Add 1cm for a comfortable fit; 2cm for a relaxed, stackable fit. For a tight bangle fit, add 0.5cm only.

Standard Exclusive Tanzanite necklaces are 18" (45cm). We offer adjustable lengths on all chain necklaces. For pendants, length determines placement and proportion — a detail our atelier team are happy to discuss in person or by appointment.
